Fox Wilshire Theatre
(Beaverly Hills, CA)

Designed by S. Charles Lee, the Historic Fox Wilshire Theater opened its doors on September 19, 1930. The theatre was one of the premiere of its time and a notable movie palace. In 1981, renovations of the original theater converted it to a stage venue. In March of 2009, the Historic Fox Wilshire Theater changed names and became the Saban Theatre in recognition of the generous Haim and Cheryl Saban grant. Noteworthy events at the Theater include in November of 1953, How to Marry a Millionaire starring Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall. As well, Stevie Nick’s “White Winged Dove” tour (1981), filmed for an HBO special at the theatre.
