(Los Angeles, CA)
Built in 1925, the Sunset Church was designed by LA architect Chauncey Fitch Skilling. The Gothic Revival style church is characterized by large stained glass windows, high ceilings and exposed beams. In 1956, architects Louis Armet and Eldon Davis, two iconic Googie architects, remodeled the church. The architectural duo added a number of Googie features to the church, including the dominant arched white window frames. HQ 4975 Sunset bought the church in 2014 and is in the process of converting the structure into creative offices.
Spectra Company is restoring the historic wood and steel windows as well as the brick façade.
