UCLA Hershey Hall

In 1931, philanthropist Mira Hershey donated $300,000 to build the first residence hall on the UCLA campus. The all-woman dorm was named Hershey Hall in her honor. Her generosity marked the beginning of the University student-housing program that by 1965 would include many of the other halls and residences that occupy the campus today. Hershey Hall was adaptively reused and is currently used today as an administrative building.

Spectra Company restored many of the original historic materials as well as doors and windows as part of a rehabilitation that included a seismic renovation.
