Joshua Swodeck works in Development and Marketing for Spectra Company, The Union on Garey, and The Cathedral, a role he has held since 2024. For more than two decades, he has partnered with innovators, thought leaders, and community organizers to clarify vision and design strategies that move ideas into action. A creative problem solver, Joshua has supported CEOs, for-profit and nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and creatives through brand storytelling, strategic marketing, and design. His background as a consultant, art director, creative director, and designer grounds his work in the power of narrative as a tool for development and impact.

Beyond his professional work, Joshua has a long history of civic and community leadership. He previously served nine years as a Cultural Arts Commissioner for the City of Pomona, helping guide public art investment and arts policy across the city. He currently serves as President of the Board for the School of Arts + Enterprise and as a board member of the Latino/a Roundtable of the San Gabriel and Pomona Valley, NAMI Pomona Valley, Downtown Pomona Owners Association, and Urban Rising Los Angeles. Joshua also contributes as a Steering Committee member for the California College for All Coalition and as an Association member of the LA County Fair/Fairplex. His public service includes participation on numerous arts grant panels, including LA County’s Organizational Arts Grant (Folk Art) and the National Endowment for the Arts Folk Art Grant.
