CONSERVATION is the process of prolonging the life of the built environment, objects, art, or artifacts. From assessing and documenting the condition, to analyzing and testing, to specification of the appropriate treatment procedures, and performing the treatment and ongoing maintenance, Spectra customizes each solution to meet the needs of the client and the preservation standards as defined by national and international organizations, including the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Preservation. Spectra’s conservation experts are members of the American Institute for Conservation and Association for Preservation Technology International.
